Linear Gas Fireplaces

Linear gas fireplaces are wide, rectangular fireplaces designed to give a clean, modern look with a ribbon of flame. They install flush to the wall, work with natural gas or propane (LP), and are perfect for living rooms, feature walls, restaurants, and luxury builds. Below you’ll find our curated selection of direct-vent linear fireplaces from leading brands, with options for indoor and some outdoor applications.

Every unit listed here is either manufactured as a linear model or is part of a linear series. If you don’t have natural gas on site, ask us for the LP conversion kit or order the factory LP configuration. Need a sealed option that vents outdoors? See our direct vent gas fireplaces.

How to Choose a Linear Gas Fireplace

1. Pick your venting. Most linear fireplaces are direct vent, which pulls combustion air from outdoors and exhausts to the exterior. This is the safest and most common installation for new construction and remodels.

2. Confirm your fuel. If your home has natural gas, order the NG configuration. If you only have a propane tank, ask for the LP version or the correct LP conversion kit.

3. Match the width to the wall. Linear fireplaces look best when the unit is proportionate to the wall or media cabinet. Popular widths are 48"–60" for living rooms and 72"+ for great rooms or commercial spaces.

4. Plan your finish. Most linear units are installed clean face with tile, stone, or panels to the opening. Check the installation manual for required clearances and non-combustible framing.

Linear Gas Fireplace FAQs

What is a linear gas fireplace?

It’s a modern, wide-format gas fireplace with a low opening and long flame presentation. It’s designed to be built into a wall for a contemporary look.

Can a linear fireplace run on propane?

Yes. Many models ship in natural gas but can be ordered in LP or converted with a manufacturer LP kit. Tell us your fuel when ordering.

Do I need direct vent?

For most indoor linear fireplaces, yes. Direct vent brings in outside air and exhausts outdoors, which protects indoor air and meets code in most areas.

What size linear fireplace should I buy?

Match the fireplace to the width of the wall or media feature. 48"–60" works for most rooms; 72" and wider are best for large great rooms or commercial spaces.
